NEW SKI HILL CHALET
We, the Innisfail Ski Club directors, members and volunteers are excited to announce that we will be replacing the existing 57 year old hill top lodge with a new Chalet. Our current lodge was built by volunteers in the 1960's and has served our community well. However, the building which was constructed of stramit (compressed straw), post and beam and stucco has come to the end of its life expectancy and is in need of replacement. In order to continue to serve our ski club and the community for many more generations to come we feel it is in our best interest to proceed with a newly constructed modernized structure. Our new chalet will provide more space for both guests and gear, an upgraded concession, larger washrooms, a more efficient building envelope and more. Work has begun on site and will continue throughout the summer and into the fall with the goal to have the new chalet operable by this upcoming ski season.
We would like to thank everyone in the community in advance for any work that will be taking place over the next several months. Your support is always very appreciated.

"I am proud to be able to be apart of keeping the spirit of the Innisfail Ski Hill alive for many generations to come. As a skier myself I recognize the importance of small ski hill facilities like this one, the one I grew up on. It is a great place that brings the community together and provides an affordable ski experience for many. Working on the design for the new Chalet has been a passion project for me and I am excited to see it come to life. I wanted to be able to give back to the ski hill because it holds such a special place in my heart."
